I'll present an overview of several ways of axiomatizing systems of locative relations. We'll see what is at stake in the debate about which relation to take as primitive. This will lay the groundwork for the next three weeks of lectures. It also connects with the debate (which we will discuss in a few weeks) about how to formulate Three Dimensionalism, insofar as we formulate that view in terms of locative relations.
