There’s been a lot of disagreement about the precise ways to formulate 3Dism and 4Dism. We’ll explore some of the options, using the tools we’ve developed throughout the semester. Then we’ll look at some of the central arguments for 4Dism, and evaluate them. In particular, we’ll look at how a restrictive view of locative possibility points us toward 4Dism, and how a 3Dist can resist that pressure.

Thursday Workshop
Thursday we will begin with thesis presentations! Each student will present their senior thesis in 15-20 minutes, with short discussion and a total of no more than 25 minutes for their session. These sessions will provide you with helpful feedback on your projects, but should also be viewed as a celebration of the work you’ve done together this semester. (I will provide feedback on your drafts after the presentations, and before your final drafts are due.)
